No, no one needs a free month of PSN as compensation for their righteous outrage at being unable to play games on PSN for 24 hours.
Yes, this is the only time you can play. Your raid group was supposed to meet. You paid for this!
The amount of bitching and entitlement around a service being down for 24 hours is insane. Even more vexing is that people seem to be blaming Sony more than, I don't know, the actual people or hardware that instigated the failure.
Nothing is perfect all of the time.
Moving on, when PSN came back up, I played a little FFXIV.
